WE THE (RODEO) PEOPLEBefore “The Statement” was released yesterday, all of this was pulled. It’s all public. I was traveling back to Texas yesterday so this morning was when it was going to be shared. Some others did the research as well and have posted their findings, which match ours. Rodeo is a business, that’s a fact. However your partners are your athletes and until the PRCA and larger rodeo’s figure that out, it will continue to be a bad deal for contestants. Until the contestants take a stand, the suits will not care. It’s not difficult to be honest. We have already established that the fight or flight response from Tom Hirsig was unprofessional, at best, and based on comments, at times untrue. I have never met the guy but based on the decision to cut slack vs working to solve the problem along with his shoot from the hip post, I have little respect. Again, rodeo is a business. There are problems. Anyone that has been in business since late 2019 has experienced them but everyone who’s ever ran a business long term has had setbacks that required improvising and overcoming. Screwing your partners is never the first option. If you’ve done business with us and we screwed up, you know we are the first to humbly apologize and offer an alternative solution. We will never bring a problem to your attention unless absolutely necessary, and after we have exhausted all resources to solve it. We will also never bring that problem to your attention without an alternative solution that you are happy with. We are partners. That is how a business should run. Without you, there is no Ranahan. Without contestants, there is no Ranahan. Without contestants, there is no rodeo. Until contestants realize their worth and value, nothing will change. Read over screen shots, we will not insult your intelligence by pointing out every single thing wrong with how CFD has handled the main issues at hand here: slack and payout. Based on the financials, neither of those things should be an issue and the general public has come up with solutions for free that a $400k+/year CEO can’t figure out. That’s sad. There are many parking solutions. Was it ever even about parking and finances? Do bartenders make more in tips in a night during CFD than contestants that place in a round? I can answer that for you. Yes, yes they do. What say you? Sincerely, A small business owner, rodeo fan, someone that invests a lot of money into rodeo and contestants every year, and one of 6 people that ran a $46M nationwide Franchise business in a previous life. Figure it out CFD. PRCA, you need to be next, including the NFR. *I am unsure if these public revenue numbers include assets, stocks, and bonds. Open to discussion.
